Corier Family Reunion 2008

We went to a family reunion over the weekend in Humptulips, WA. Between Anson's and my family we have 3 to 4 reunions a year. This is probably the one that I look forward to the most. I've been going to this one for over 20 years! Wow, that makes me feel old! I remember when I was 14 years old and saw Anson when he was 16. At the talent show that year he sang a song that he wrote and played the piano. I thought how cool it would be if he wrote a song like that for me. Memories....

Well, here is a slide show from this year's reunion.

104 degress!

Yesterday the temperature was 101 degrees and today is supposed to get even hotter. Anyone who knows me, knows that I do not like the heat. I don't like to be outside doing stuff, I don't like to sweat, I don't like to be in the sun period.

What I did today was a bit unusual and like a good mother does, I sacrificed my comfort for my children. My husband normally takes them to the lake but since he's in Florida, I thought it would be nice to get the kids out. My sister was taking her kids to the lake, so I met her there. I wasn't going to even go swimming. My plan was to sit in the shade and watch my kids from the sand, but everybody else was swimming and if I wanted to be cool like them, I had to. We swam to the dock and jumped in a few times. It was pretty fun for about 45 minutes and then I wanted to leave. I was talked into staying a little bit longer then left. I did manage to take a few pictures before my batteries died.

Florida!

My Anson's are in Orlando, Florida all this week. Ever since Anson Jr. was old enough to understand, my husband told him that once he turned 12 years old he would take him on a cool trip to Mexico to see the ruins. Well, Anson Jr. turned 12 in January and they are finally on their trip. It's not Mexico, but the two of them are together. I think it's awesome. They've always had a great relationship....they're like twins. These pictures are when Anson Jr. was only 2 years old! So cute!

The Douglas County Fair

Krista Nicole had a show last weekend at The Douglas County Fair in Roseburg, Oregon. I was unable to go, but that's a whole other story.

Anson Sr. took the band down a day early to practice and stayed at the local Motel 6. I guess he didn't get much sleep sharing a bed with Anson Jr. There were only 2 beds in the room, so Matt and Cole did "Rock, Paper, Scissors" for the other bed. Matt won so maybe Cole didn't get any sleep on the floor either. Somebody.....I'm not going to mention any names, but somebody has "Night Swearing" if that's such a thing. I asked Anson if he video taped it, but he didn't even think of it. That would have been funny though!

Anyway, Krista did a great job and wasn't nervous at all. The video footage isn't that great because the sound system, the sound guy or both sucked. There was another event going on the same time Krista was on stage and all we heard was some annoying lady talking about stupid dogs.

In any case, everybody had a good time and even went on some rides!

The Clark County Fair

Squish had a show last weekend at the Clark County Fair. It was the first time they played with their new bassist and they did a good job. They added a couple songs to their set list, which were Sweet Child O' Mine, Hit Me With Your Best Shot and Sweet Home Alabama. The band plays them really well! Here are some pictures of our weekend.
